The bitcoin price has been higher on the date of each consecutive halving. The fourth bitcoin halving occurred on friday at a little after 8:09 p.m.
The bitcoin halving, set for april 2024, will reduce the miners’ rewards from 6.25 btc to 3.125 btc which decreases its daily issuance from 900 btc to 450 btc. As at the time of writing, the next bitcoin halving date, the fourth, will happen on btc block number 840,000.
